Hi guys, I'm a newbie, always been interested in fossicking and now newly retired and ready to start digging Local to Mildura Vic and have no idea where to start, any advise would be appreciated. :beer: :beer:

Hi peacefulguy, welcome to PA. 3 1/2 hours would see you driving from Mildura to Wedderburn. Not a bad drive if you make a weekend of it. Great pub :beer: , Cafe :coffee: and a Motel :zzz: :Y:

First thing to work out is what are you most interested in finding? Coin/Relics or the GOLD? :goldnugget: Your choice of equipment very much depends on this.
I'm also in Mildura and pretty new to the hobby but let me know if you need some help.

The local gem club are a nice group that have plenty of knowledge and would be more then happy to have another member, they even have a few detectorists in their midst, even though they don't venture out with them often.
