location for gem flied trip

Hi guys new to the forum.

Just wanting some advice, we have done alot of gold detecting up near Hepburn/wombat state forest/castlemaine area and wondering what else we can find up that way, ive found a couple of fossils in the streams up there.

I would love to get into some Gem fossicking and if anyone has any know locations up that way or in other areas on the west side of Melbourne as we plan to go up again this Saturday.
