Headphone compatible hat.

Hi Bazzwaldo, I use a funnelweb hat that allows you to wear whatever headphones you like with it, & covers the back of your neck

I just had to blot out the funnel web embroidered logo on the front because I don't like poiders and it gave me the heebee-jeebies :8

I use Koss KSC75 in summer and winter I find them very good for about $39 regards john erfect:

Using a floppy Minelab hat we just cut a slit either side then holes to accommodate the headphones headband, bit of sew on velcro and away we go with flynet over the top.
Slips on and off all as one.
The phones plug directly into the Steelphase adapter lead on the SDC2300 or the P01 and WM12 on the GPZ. Most times when using the the Zed we prefer the dual external speakers so just wide brimmed hat and net.
Have never seen the flies so prolific as this year.

Or just go with the duel speakers and have nothing over the ears. Headphones are hot and uncomfortable IMHO.

Or use the Phillips sports ear buds that don't sit all the way in your ear and you can also hear ambient noises like people/cars approaching. They would plug straight in to your SpO1 with a $2 adapter and work perfectly. I can post up a pic if you like.

I have 2 pairs of headphones with the large jacks so I'm gonna try cut and shoving a wide brimmed hat for starters and see if I can handle wearing the headphones all day
On my first trip I found the WM12 operating as a speaker quite good for long sessions with the GPZ so the dual speaker setup sounds very attractive
Does anyone have a drawing of how to configure the dual speaker with the WM12 and SP01?

Currently set up with dual speakers, simply unplug the speakers and insert headphones plug if a change is required.
Just slit brim of your hat and close it up with some velcro after inserting headphones.

I use a legionnaire type hat, it covers the back of your neck and ears, mostly I don't need the fly net as the flies don't like going inside it and a to your face, and tend to just buzz about the front of it, you can put the headphones over the outside of the hat as the fabric is quite thin and does not effect the sound quality very much at all, if its warm the fabric helps to remove the sweat from your ears, and if its cold it keeps your face and ears warm. erfect:

all you need do is hang some meat off the back of uour belt

Got the same style hat. From reedprospecting. Was $40 but great quality very happy with it.

Yep that's where I got it from. I couldn't remember which place I bought it from so I did a search for the receipt before posting and couldn't find it, so I just cut and pasted the funnel web site. It's a cracker of a hat- Well made, and the neck protection on the back itself is worth its weight in gold. I leave my
Sunrays in it permanently.

Anyone else had to carve up a bush hat to fit the headphones? Especially the best of the lot steel Phase. Big suckers for a brim hat. Farkin flies keep coming in the holes lol

We need an inventor here! A new hat with good sun shading, cool to wear (solar fan?), fly net, suitable for full size headphones and glasses.

Don't need a hat, we need a automated 10 by 10 shade that follows our every move , like a drone with an umbrella on a rope.
