Sapphire found CQ Gemfields early 1970's

This parti stone is 2.50 cts,
8.6 mm x 7.15 x 4.40 mm
Found at CQ Gemfields early 1970's, was made into a ring for my Grandmother who wanted something "plain".

That is a cracker of a stone.

Thanks Sushi, I also have a nice yellow that my father found. We used to do the 1 hour drive over there on dirt road, it felt like forever as kids. Sleep on the ground or in the car & slave away sifting dirt. Think it was the days before machinery came in to do the work.
My mother remembers the Thai gem buyers flying to Emerald, get out of the plane set up a table & people would line up with their uncut stones for valuations & sales.
I'm glad she had kept a few & handed them to me.
