NSW river rules

If you google up "river banks and the 10 meter rule or 20 meter rule do they exist in nsw" it gives some idea of where you can & can't go & how far property owners land goes down the bank.

Fishing has that rule , prospecting doesnt, even fishing the whistle of buckshot can change your mind.

Best thing to do is find your ideal spot via boat or canoe etc. Then simply go ask the owner.
If you get a no, respect it.
Get a yes,... treat him right and it can turn into your favorite camping spot.

In nsw you can legally access any river uptil the area that is considered the bed of the river. You cant access the top of the bank without landowner permission.
