New to prospecting

Hi Guys. My name is Jason. I have been living in cairns for 5 years now. I like to get out and explore and do some camping. Thought i would pick up a detector and try some prospecting. Have purchased a Garretts AT Gold. Have done some playing to learn how to use the detector and done a little bit of beach work. Have been trying to do as much research on what to look for when locating gold. Any tips and information would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. When you get 10 posts up you will be able to access the Members Only Section. One of the sub folders in there is for Member Meet Ups and you should see posts in there about when the members in the Cairns area meet at the Red Beret Hotel.
