I believe when people do careless acts like this they should be hit with a substantial fine that then gets distributed to the rescue services involved to help cover the cost!
There is no excuse.
I have a brother-inlaw & a good mate in the SES in the WA Wheatbelt Areas, & some of the callouts they get are for peoples pure stupidity.

And just recently this one who survived. "Inspector Davis said the woman was not prepared for the harsh environment but praised her for staying with her vehicle".

Says she was very fit and walks the route regularly.
Unfortunately sounds like foul play especially if they have not found her yet.

Fingers crossed she is fit enough to hold out.

If she walked it regularly you think they would have found her by now.Unless she went in a direction that she didnt regularly follow.

or maybe decided to go further than normal &/or off the beaten track

Yep same thing..Let's hope shes still ok.

could have got hot and dehydrated and just kept walking having no idea what was going on which would be bad

as you can sort of see from this snip from google maps, its a harsh dry rugged area.
Tom Price top right, Mt Nameless in the centre, I think its actually the mount to the left of the marker

Let's just hope she sits tight and is found soon. We should not jump to conclusions.
