I have been to same spot for last few weeks but not much items were discovered. Finally a couple of slivers were surfaced. I am still using Program 9 Hot on Deus with 11 inch coil. Not sure why, signals were very iffy not loud at all but still find them. I switched program to DEEP and I can hear clearly this time, but do not like the sound from DEEP program at all.
I found 11 inch coil to be too heavy, I cannot swing for more then 2 hours. I think I might need to get 9 inch x35 coil or I just use my other HF elliptical coil?? But I found HF coil does not go as deep as my 11 inch!

Hello, all and Happy new year to you! I have been detecting but not motivated to post anything.
I have been going to the same location last year almost every weekend. Sometimes, I found many sometimes just one or none.
Here are the my latest find including my 2nd 2 shilling coin from same location!
And my best find would be the U.S. Civil war style bullet!

I see you have a elliptical HF coil. How are you finding it. What settings are you using? Cheers
Hello, Dave, I really like that HF elliptical coil. It is very light so I do`nt get tired but 11" is heavy. I am still using 9.hot only but coil is small so it cannot go deeper than 11inch coil so I increased sensitivity to 94-96, changed frequency to 30.00 khz and I found that 2 Shilling silver coin. Now I am thinking of 11x13 x35 coil even it is much heavier than 11". It is very confusing as I have done most of area with 11" before but by changing frequency slightly, I have found more items.
I tried Deep program after finding a target with Hot program to compare and it is definitely giving much crisp signal. I tried to hunt with deep program but I did not like it.
Thanks :Y:

Great finds Capa, on to a really good spot there. You can usually get away with running higher sensitivity levels with those small coils vs the larger ones, I find that I am not really losing out to the 11" coil depth wise when using the HF 9" coil. Despite the HF coils having what we would typically think as being unsuitable frequencies for coin shooting, they actually hit real good on high conductors, especially on edge coins - plus have very good depth on thin copper relics. In areas with lots of iron, try running pitch program with enough discrim to knock out most of the iron, and dig any repeatable targets - you will be surprised on what it can pull from iron infested ground. :Y:

Hunt result from Sunday 13-1-2019! I went to the other Melbourne park in the early morning. I was not finding much so I was walking toward my car and found my first coin purse with coins in it! I thought it was gold sovereign coin case initially but I am still happy to find 1 florin, 4 sixpences, 2 pennies inside!

Wow, I've always dreamed about finding a stash like that. Looks like they are in top condition.
