Not really a DIY, but more of a good find !

Well Kato and I have been on the look constantly for improved gear for our detecting.
I always thought that those old army m16 30rnd mag pouches would make a good finds bag. ;)

So FleaBay was getting searched a few weeks ago, and I ordered a few bags, two for me, 1x each for the kids Kato, M1 and M2.

As usual you never know if the item fits the bill/image /purpose.
BUT when I unpacked the first one I was happily impressed, Kato has put hers thru a test, me too
and I am glad to say they are pretty good for less that $8 delivered each.

Pretty happy with it and it has an internal liner that pops out to empty the dirt, side pockets, front pocket, draw string etc
Good size and depth too. :Y:

Oh poo, I forgot to upload the pics for everyone so that ya get a sense of what it is,
and more importantly size and materials.
It is big enough to drop my driver drill into it with depth, and has two way to be mounted on the waist.
The belt tabs with studs, or use the metal loop and a small clip to attach to a belt loop on your pants. :D :Y:

Thank you for that.

I never considered that it could be used for underwater, the main pocket has an elastic closure that stretches to push things into,
and it is made of nylon all through out, but any press snaps and springs in it rust up.

You should be able to find some small dive pouches pretty cheap, even from your local dive shop.

Good luck.
