Nunya Qld. Where is that mate?
Nunya business?!!!!!
Nice coins and the button has still got a lot of the gilding left which is rare. good hunting :Y:
Cheers all :Y: Yeah Dave the button was my fav find of the night, going by the anchor must be Australian navy.

Good finds, Rockhound. Looks like they came from an area where there was a hotel or such where the public used to congregate.

When i first got into detecting i located an old racecourse that now resides in a forest and tried to work out where the bar was and also the betting area. I never found those, but did find a large circle worn into the ground about 10 metres in circumference where horses had been paraded or exercised and only managed to find scrap metal and a very old battery for a radio from the start of the 1900`s. Access has been blocked off since i was there and i can`t get back in .I`m still looking for a hoard like you found. Well done.

The button is a cracker find. Given the cable or rope edging I doubt its military - maybe steamship company? Would be a good one to research further.

Hi all :D Haven't been out for a swing lately due to the hard dry ground around here.So I decided to give the turf a miss and hit the surf.I've done this beach once before and got an 18ct ring so I thought there'd have to be more there.
These are the find's from the last 2 nights

Cheers Smoky :Y: I'm really starting to like this beach detecting.Just gotta get the 15 inch coil then I'll be sweet.
Yer it's a nice change from bending down and digging hard ground :Y:

Rockhound - nice hunt.

BUT, more importantly, my wife's mission in life is to see baby turtle's hatch and I am guessing that this is not unusual in your part of the world?

I very quickly thought "Cool, I'll take her up to Nunya". And then I clicked

If you were happy to PM me some rough details of where you are that would be greatly appreciated. I am from N.E. Vic so I am not about to hunt out your local haunts ;)

Cheers, NE.

Cheers mate :Y:
This time of year there are thousands of little Loggerhead turtles hatching along the beaches around here, but not to common at the beach I was at.
Have sent you a pm with the location :Y:
