For that sort of money about the only thing decent you'll pick up is an Xterra 705 maybe a gold razor, both second hand of course... there are probably more but they're the ones that come to mind.

Probably don't need two 11" DDs, so I'd be getting rid of one and adding a mono coil, maybe an elliptical, something like a 12x7" Nugget Finder, and you'd have a very good combo.

Bounty hunter 4 is a good starter detector for coins relics.
Have a look at the Minelab Gofind models. The Gofind 66 is usually around $400. On sale at Anaconda at the moment for $319. A well known brand and an entry level detector.

There's not many detectors for $300 that will produce the goods like the 705.
And most importantly you'll have a heap of fun.. then you'll be hooked and before long... gold fever sets in.layful:
