Wow time flies when you're having fun and life has been very busy which is why I haven't been on here much.
I've manged to get two digs in over the past month, not been to fixated on detecting because family comes first and with the arrival of Grandson
number 2 coming anytime this week life is going to get a lot busier for us.

Anyway I am happy to have gotten out and I had fun, even managed to get another Gold Ring. :)
Saturday is supposed to be fine with no rain about so I was thinking of hitting the beach huts where I got the haul in the first picture.

Thanks everyone, I had a feeling I was going to get a ring that night. Kiara and I went out for an hour and ended up being around an hour and a half.
I said to her lets go to the peer which they are still rebuilding, there's a big crane on the foreshore and that is where the coins came from.
I didn't want to do a long grid session so I concentrated around all the ash areas where the bonfires had been.
When we left I said to Kiara one last stop, it's a place that has produced rings in the past namely the Amethyst Ring and Silver Ring....
We got there and some young fella passed us by walking down the track, I told Kiara of the story of finding a coin spill and how I said to myself that day
that I'd never found any coins on that track.
I also told her of how I said to myself after that I've never found a Gold Ring walking down this track and I didn't again. LOL
Anyway we got to the beach and we didn't stay more than 10 minutes, I decided to walk up to the fence line and slowly walked along towards the track
and hit on a crips 27 TID, it was too solid to be a can I thought to myself and then the TID changed to 30 and I said Kiara it's a $2.
Scooped it up and heard a ding ding in the bottom and knew it was a ring, when I saw it I knew it was Gold.

Missed being outdoors and missed the beep beep sounds, gotta train my ears again for the sweet sounds. :)

Anyway all the best everyone and Happy long weekend for the Victorians.... :D

Cheers GDA :Y:

Well I managed to get out today for quite a few hours with Kiara, I made a deal with Kiara and said you know what baby we are going 50/50 from now on.
That got her interested in coming back out with Dad.
We hit the beach huts which produced well, certain huts always produce coin spills....Most of the beach had been topped up which had me thinking
it wasn't going to be a good day but I was quietly surprised.

We hit a few other beaches but none of them were replenished like the beach huts were, we did manage a ring even though it is only a Pandora
my god they are expensive pieces of JUNK! lol
One of the biggest surprises was a nice crisp 24 signal which I thought was going to be a 50c and it turned out to be a shallow threepence...woop
So it was a Gold and Silver day today.

This old man was injured, his wing looked in bad shape and covered in blood so while talking with a nice young lady she decided to ring
the Wildlife Rescue and I stayed back to keep an eye on him until help arrived.
Meagan showed up and the both of us together managed to gather him up without too much bother, she then took him away to get healed up. :D
All in all a very good day.

Nice one, coins paid the wages and the 3p was some nice icing on the cake. :Y:

I'd love to know where the stockpiles of sand are......that's twice now that when the beach was topped up with new sand I have found silver. :D

Hi everyone I never realized it had been so long since I had been out for a swing, life is just so busy around here with 2 grandsons now,
a little one who has no fear of heights namely Angelica 14 months old and walking everywhere, getting into mischief and just being a blessing.

Anyway I got out this morning for a dig to a few of my favourite beaches and they provided once again. The two silver rings were both
surface finds after the beach cleaner had skimmed away the sand for me....The coins were only an inch deep as well, I found it funny
to be walking in a straight line and within 2 metres had picked off 4 $2 coins, the cleaner lined them up for some easy pickings. lol

Anyway it was so good to be out again and today being the First day of summer and a balmy 32 degrees made it even better.
