Smokey's Equinox 800 Finds.

2hr beach hunt today not my usual time to hunt but was my only chance this week.

Still picking these deep 1c:Y: Dug this coin and there was a bit of iron in the scoop with it .iron bias 4 and Nox didnt see it at all. Tdi saying it's a florin and a early thrip :Y: Yep it's a florin erfect: . :Y:

Not really sure yet mate got it soaking now..I think the old ones come in around 30+ tid this is saying 24 to 27 but I think the crust is affecting the numbers..My guess it will be a later florin 8.(

Take em whenever you can get em! What do you set recovery speed on the beach. I've been bumping it up to 8 lately on some trashy beaches but thinkin I might have to drop it down a bit and see if there's anything hiding down deeper.

Hi Dave I usually do recovery 7 in parks....but for beach I use recovery at 5..Targets are usually further apart and I'm looking for a little more depth...This beach is full of car parts so iron everywhere :Y:

That 1c was easy 12inch... tone was soft but repeatable.Stable tid :Y:

Turned out better than I thought they would..Especially for crusty old sea silvers..3 out of 4 did anyway.
Alot of coins on this beach get this brown stain that wont come of unless its zapped.But I like it :Y:

Blowing a Gail and raining hard but still had some fun..$7...Four sea pennies.. A little silver and a captain cook commemorative medallion l..Penny's are in the tumbler but not expecting to much is left on them. :Y:

Been a lot of activity around the beach huts here, literally every beach hut had teenagers around them. lol Should be a good weekend for a dig. Thanks and Glad to be back into it. :Y:

G day all
Still detecting but only getting modern coins..Nothing interesting.....Did find some gold on the weekend, just not the mineral type..Went Fishing / Crabing with my two sons 25 and 10 yrs old up at a place called lime pocket in the pummicestone passage for those that know the area .only 20 min boat ride from my place..
Only 6 crabs caught 3 sandies and 3 muddies. Not a fish landed but the Icy cold rums may or may not have had some affect on that..
