I met Howard at the bash and now I have a QED.
I am going to start a new thread shortly to help
other QED owners to get the best out of them.
Howard is a true gentleman too talk to and I was
very impressed with his knowledge and humor.

I have spent a little time on the field with the machine
and so far with my limited knowledge of the machine I am
very, very impressed with it's versatility, ergonomics and
power.
I have a way to go with coming to grips with the machine 's
settings but I had no trouble pinging some very small targets
at a depth in hot ground.
I did not take long to get a feel for the QED and it's characteristics.
As I go along I will post video's and comments and will share them here
for one and all in the hope that this will help you all.

I look forward to reading and watching your and others reviews.
I'd like to try and entice my wife in to gold detecting but need a light machine, and as she may not get hooked need an economical but capable machine.

Takes the weight off your arm when swinging a heavy machine or coil.
Long stretchy cord that attaches to the detector and your harness.

as I have one but fell over broke pelvis and not used it
its now 10 months old not used get out soon

I have always been curios about a QED.
So far it is stacking up as quite a capable machine.
As with any detector, You have to learn how to set them up properly.
So far I am going well with that. The Detectorist and Howard will help
me along and I want to put it out there for every one.
The Detectorist is a very well known person that I have contact with.
And he lives not far from me.

I have to take my hat off to you Tathradj. Some folk find a new machine a little challenging, however you soon got your head around the QED pretty quick. I guess having Howard at the Bash to give you a few pointers was a big help. The PL2 is an improvement from the early QED, not only being better balanced but a much nicer looking machine. ( not that looks effect the performance, but it gives a more favorable impression ) I look forward to your reports, and will try to be of any assistance where possible. Good hunting.

It would have been good for you also to have Howard in person to physically demonstrate on how his QED operates?
 
Have to also agree with Tathradj and davent after being invited by Howard to his place on Sunday.
He took time out of his weekend to show my son and I how to set up and use the QED.
I found Howard to be a gentleman and very helpful and was only too happy to answer any questions we had to ask.
Now is all we have to do is get some practice and learn how to use it.
