hi all can admin please make this a sticky ?

I intend to add loads of pdf files for small scale mining they will include prospecting mining methods track work boreing drilling the sinking of shafts timbering and much more.

here's the first one I will be adding to this whenever I can also thinking of converting some of my own scanned mining books into pdf files for everyone to read.

also a warning some of the files im uploading are large and may gobble up data usage best to download at a library or on Wi-Fi networks

http://www.survivorlibrary.com/library/ … s_1908.pdf
modern practice in mining 1908 lots of info on coal sinking of shafts geology etc.

I will be adding more when I have the time

* Hunting the yellow

That one was 11meg but was quickly resized to 5.8meg and can also made it text searchable - but that brings it back to a bigger size.

If you have a drop box account I am happy to Resize and enhance the PDF's for you.

Best find - The Wife # Equipment - X-Pointer x 4, Nokta Fors Gold Plus, Excalibur II, CTX3030 and a Minore III with custom wood - and lots of other stuff

here's some more warning large files also most of these books I have the hard copies for if anyone wants to view just 1 or two pages or if over time the links break for whatever reason also these are some of the best books I've found so far there are a few others I have that are old but I can't seam to find the internet copies of them. but these pdf files would be the best to view and study for the green horn who knows little about mining however you need practical knowledge of doing something too for example digging a shaft or building a poppet headframe not just what's in a book

mining engineers handbook vols 1 and 2 1940 loads of mining info large file most likely the best covers a lot of things in small scale mining
https://ia601408.us.archive.org/8/items … elgoog.pdf

another good link to mining info pumps and steam engines boilers etc and pdf files
https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Internat … Technology

tunnelling and crackers lots of info on crackers shhhh wink
https://ia902707.us.archive.org/35/item … ttgoog.pdf

steam operators handbook
modern book handy to have as most bigger mines used steam engines and boilers to run the winding gear over the poppet headframes and down the shaft for hauling men and rock up and down the shaft.
http://www.waterandfire.ir/Down_En/Boil … ndbook.pdf

another great one for steam and boilers
https://ia601406.us.archive.org/3/items … nnrich.pdf

underground mining methods modern book on stopes declines modern underground mining methods
http://www.ct.ufrgs.br/laprom/Undergrou … ethods.pdf

1907 First Edition Mine Timbering Tunnel Set Framing Posts Caps Stretchers with modern adds witch is annoying but its the only version on the net I've found
https://www.forgottenbooks.com/it/.../M … 312889.pdf

I hope I've covered a lot of stuff on mining the rest is getting out there and doing it

http://eis.uow.edu.au/pillar/pdf/dust_control.pdf
ventilation and dust modern book

http://www.survivorlibrary.com/library/ … s_1897.pdf
info on batteries no not the batteries you put in a torch hahaha stamp mill battery's (rock crushers )

https://ia802701.us.archive.org/27/item … lsrich.pdf

Mining and mine ventilation a practical handbook on the physics and chemistry of mining and mine ventilation

save it when you got it so that if they break the link you still have a copy to read
