I agree totally, greatt company, pity we don't make stuff like that here anymore.

The old AWA audio limiters, preamps and vintage mixing consoles are still highly sought after by top audiophiles for mixing music in top studios.

They are still there.

Capa, I was actually using the 11" coil with V5.1 for gridding up a large area, a few of the coins came from a patch of ground where the soil had been pushed back off the house site. Lucky I got that 9" Deus coil when I did, you would struggle to get a normal detector coil for that price.

I haven't been out much lately - between a bad cold and crappy weather there hasn't been much a of a drive to get out in the field. The only occasion I did get out was cut short by rain, only managed one good find being a rare Australian made Micro Models Talbot Largo race car in pretty amazing condition. The company only produced toy cars between 1952-1961 before going out of business, with british made toy cars gaining favour. Would probably make a good candidate for a restoration, the front wheel hubs are the only parts that need some attention aside from some new paintwork.

Thanks guys, have seen a couple of them on ebay going for a few hundred dollars, some in pretty rough condition.

Anyway, got the Deus charging up - I'm off for a detect!

Very cool find - Dont come across that often !

Been a while since I've had coil to the ground lately, had some family down with an Etrac and Explorer in tow, so off we went to try our luck. First site was pretty quiet, only managed a clock key and a WW1 school issue peace medallion in average condition. Never would have found the medallion if I hadn't rolled over a log, then the first target was an iron buckle followed by the medallion underneath - luck of the draw I guess.

Next spot was frequently visited ruins, I found my oldest coin from that locality, an English 1902 penny followed by a commie and roo penny. The rest was the usual smattering of cartridges, toy gun parts etc.

Last spot was later that night near an oval, had a bit of frustration on the plentiful BB's and high grass before eventually locating a 1952 florin and 1942 rams head shilling. Only found one more roo penny before giving up for the evening, content with some decent silver in the pouch.

That florin is sharp..
