Just for the record .........

1930 Penny only 1000 - 1200 were minted and most not circulated

The only genuine 1930 penny I know found by a Detector was in the late 1990s
It was found under a pier in Victoria ( in the water )
It was in poor condition & was sold at auction for about $ 7000

Was that the one found under Frankston Pier? :Y:

Got this fake off ebay. Very good copy, looks and feels the same! Now to put it in the ground infront of a mate for a laugh haha

Im in the middle of moving house so not much time for a swing. I did however spend a couple of hours with a mate that just picked up a Nox for himself.

In a split second when he turned his back I tossed a nice 2nd century Roman in his hole. He pulled out a 2c for his time than poked around again with his pinpointer discovering the Roman.

The look on his face was classic!

He thought he was about to become famous for changing Australian history.

I didnt think I was going to get the coin back.
