Noted on FB that I-Tech World in Perth are selling a 120AH Lithium battery for $849 (usually $1199) if you use the code FB120 on checkout. Free postage around Australia.

These look pretty good, particularly given their deep discharge and weight advantage over other deep cycle batteries.

Thought some might be interested, and wondered if anyone has experience with this kind of battery?

Here is the link to the battery:

Would love one for weight saving :) but the price
The inbuilt battery management claim confuses me as they claim as below and yet redarc, Projecta etc claim a lithium specific battery charger is required for lithium batteries due to a different charge process than other battery types. Ctek charger is 8 stage for lead acid against 5 stage for Lithium. Different voltages supplied at different charge stages ? Cannot see why redarc and Projecta would go to the cost of producing and developing specific chargers if this was not the case ? Interesting ?
This article explains pretty well the reasons why different charge procedure required.

CHARGING
The iTECH120 battery is the ultimate in light
weight power technology. This is a direct
replacement for your older and heavier batteries,
and will require no changes to your charging
system. Battery chargers must have a cut off point
of 14.7v or less.

Just spoke with them regards charging ................ apparently not all lithium have the built in battery management as theirs does. Was told need to run only a 3 stage charger that NEVER exceeds 14.7 volts. Having fried a few $300 deep cycles due to poor management / charging I think if I was to spend this sort of dollars on a battery I'd be buying a specific charger to charge it with . Gotta love the weigh or lack of .................. but with charger and perhaps having to even change DC DC unit in vehicle, tends to price me out of it to save 20kg :/
