May have put this up before but cant remember but there not all at the same magnification. One of them sis a grammer down to the round one which would be lucky to be 1 mm round.https://www.prospectingaustralia.com/forum/img/member-images/5449/1534587504_cd9a34af-2acd-4383-9c68-c0769b5c7b76.jpg

Just seen this Bjay and Im blown away
What sort of camera did your brother use? Great pics mate.

No idea SC . All I remember was he had a home made light deflector thingy attached to the lense. Probably more to with the lense than the camera. He studys bugs and insects so needs to take close ups and as it turns out its good for gold pics. Ill ask him what he uses.

Just talked to him. Apparently the cameras not so important but the lense he uses is a MP-E65mm Macro with a flash. Plus with the light diffuser thingy attatched, which is just some normal white paper bluetacked on each side of the lense.

Sounds like a great trip Shauno, glad to hear you and you dad are firing on all cylinders and to see the tally count layed out on the table.

Would have liked to drop in this year and share in a golden hunt or two but the Mrs thought the -4 deg forecast on our return trip deserved a different plan. :N:

A little bit of that yellow stuff for the day. :)

Well it took two weeks to find my first ever bit and now I have two in two days. Amazed the 4500 picked up the tiny bit as deep as it did.
Both pieces from the same gully 100 metres apart and both bits 5 feet from fresh detector holes. ( not filled in either). Just goes to show it doesnt matter how flogged an area looks it can still be there.

Thanks for the kind words all!

Thats a tidy days work Doug. Half an ounce of very nice bits. Pretty sharp gold too. Hasnt travelled to far from the source by the looks?

Its a shame we missed you Wally69, but therell always be other trips. Hope your visit up here to the Ridge went well. :Y:

Cheers,
Shauno.

G'day Shauno
