I did do a search for Kilwa coins and came up with a few similar but not exact....

I spent some time on a navy patrol boat out of Darwin in the 70's and we spent a lot of time looking for indon fishing boats fishing in our waters.
One thousand years is the time the fisheries officers would tell us they have been fishing in our waters.
It makes you wonder how many were lost to cyclones and hostile locals.

Yes that's me. They used an image from a previous expedition to Elcho Island, where I found a Chinese coin in the sand dunes.
