Take a look at the Latrobe nugget.
Much bigger than the one above
 
Los Alamos think it is genuine. Slight distortion is probably because it is alluvial (from a river in Venezuela)

The Latrobe is a cluster of cubic gold crystals. Very nice nugget too.
The one above is a single gold crystal.
Very nice example of what I've heard referred to as Chevron Gold. If you Google "Chevron Gold Nugget" you'll see other examples.
Seen a couple of similar specimens (though nowhere near as big) from around Central Western NSW.
