Last couple of years ive been repairing our hipsticks to save a few dollars,we both wear out probably 2 a year,$65 each locally kinda adding up a bit,so i buy these off ebay
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com.au/ulk/itm/172269857653

a few cuts(hacksaw blade) and a bit of prying with a screw driver or whatever then file it up then a 7.5-8mm hole drilled in one side of the ball for the rod,ive used 5 min aradilte with no problems, sand the rod a bit so it takes better, insert rod,i do it upside down with a bit of tape around the rod and ball to keep it from running down the rod, fill with epoxy then pop little end cap on and job done
or you can cut them off flush with the worn out ball if ya not worried about losing a 1/2 inch off the length

I found a similar ball in Total Tools, with the belt clip. Called a tool carrier, pack of 3 . Has some bungy cord on the ball, pulled it out and hot glued the hip stick in, spare belt holder for the ball. I used fibre dome tent pole for the stick, .223 shell casing on top to stop it spliting. Clips and bungy I got from BCF.
