Has anyone got an old Henrob Dillon oxy welding torch gathering corrosion/dust in their man cave, these old oxy welding torches had a pistol grip handle instead of the conventional longer handle, with the supply connections in the base of the handle , a trigger button to activate the cutting process, and a few tips and accessories , they worked on low pressure therefore you could weld thin lead sheet with it , used to be a panel beaters tool , before mig and tig welding .

my search for the HENROB,,, I should have posted that I have the bigger brothers the colt and the comet 2 stuff, the Henrod is a specialised torch , very low pressure to operate and can weld lead sheet , oxy acetylene is available at bunnings one time payment on the bottles and refill are a bit but there is no long tern rent like boc charge see empty bottles everywhere i go boc should take that on board no dough in the bottles its in the gas

Lead welding  man you've got to be a great lover to do that, a slow hand and a gentle touch, heat the wrong bit for a fraction too long or too little and you're out on the street.
Seriously if that's what you want to do I'd be looking for a good electric soldering iron and doing a bit of practice with that, unless of course you've done lead welding and know what fun it can be 8.(

yep , learnt lead welding in the early 70's , heat control was with the quick hand , a lost art but these days wold be good to replace some of the older flashings, cant used electric , pacemaker, so its back to the past for me

Reminded me of seeing lead filling in an old Chevy once.

yes they are sold by cobra equipment in Victoria, $750 new in the box, choose either log or acetylene, with a full set of accessories, the one in the picture is on ebay for $380, its not new , have seen them for sale around the $100 mark, thats what my budget is. It will be a rarely a rarely used item, the colt 22 might do the trick but the secret of the henrob is the gas mixing chamber, thats why the gas operating pressure is 4psi thus not wasting expensive gas. the next choice is to go chinese with an copy of the american victor style torch , that is, it has the gas knobs at the bottom of the handpiece, so theoretical a long mixing chamber , but my research has failed to find any comments on performance , just think I offered the seller $250 and he rejected my offer came back with his counter price, boy, i was over the moon ,what was thinking maybe too many bourbons , it's an oxy welding torch not a gold nugget
