An absolutely superb yellow sapphire originating from a friends old claim at the Divide (Rubyvale). Stone is cut in a deep step cut and is extremely bright and flashy. To the eye, the stone is a more yellow tone than the camera shows. The camera shows a green tinge because the stone has a tiny green sergeant stripe in one corner, just visible to the naked eye. The stripe is not silk, it is a zone of green colouration.
Stone weighs 1.75 carats and measures approx 7mmm x 5.5 mm. It would make a stunning ring.
Asking $525. I realise that this is around $300 a carat but this stone is getting close to whatwould be described as the perfect natural sapphire.
Price is of course negotiable.
