Well checked out a new location but the weather was terrible so had limited time but a few interesting finds.....
First was this 1899 half penny in good condition. Looks like it has a dye fill error as the " Half" wasnt stamped hard enough.
Cleaned it up with water and toothbrush and a light baby oil...

Well what an interesting long weekend. Some old finds and even possibly an ancient find.

Absolutely love this BSA ( Birmingham Small arms) Tie pin. Pre 1930's sunbaking surface find in the middle of the bush with not a signal around for klm. Very odd how the hell did it get there. Salesman from the UK here selling guns?

Out in the middle of nowhere and you stumble across a very cool item smaller than a $2.00 coin, what a top sun baker find :Y:

Staring at your "smart" phone in the city you miss everything including the rest of the human race 8)

Hi Tailormac

Have you checked that 1931 penny. There is a variety called the indian die dropped one. It can be worth thousands of dollars. I have one worth $4500 but had to buy it from a dealer. worth checking it out in case.
