My finds with the SDC since end of 2016

Help Support Prospecting Australia:
Just did a trip to Dunolly with a mate. Got access to some private land for the week. Nothing big found, but the small pieces kept us interested. Used a borrowed Zed.
Day 1 finds
Total for the week was 30 pieces for 4.84g
My best find was a 1817 King George the 3rd Shilling. Not in the best condition, but my first Shilling and oldest coin.

What was the transition to using a Zed like after using an SDC2300 for so long? I'm looking at upgrading soon. Did you find the coin with the Zed too?
Yep. Left my SDC with the mate I borrowed the Zed from.
I found the Zed easy to use, I had a mate with me who has been using one for a few years which helped.
I liked it so much that I'm upgrading to the Zed this week. Going to trade the SDC in.
It can find small bits like the SDC can, and really deep targets too. Amazing

Very nice finding the Shilling, the golds okay too

Any KG3 coin is a great find, regardless of condition - looks like it may have possibly copped a bit of fire damage. Well done on the gold too.
