My yearly fishing trip to Cowell was ok considering the amount of very windy days with good whiting.

This 1 weighed in at 1kg

Some of the whiting caught this year Averaged 45cms

When we had nothing to do we went snapper fishing inside the Harbor

Winy days when not detecting i went down the creek to jig up the odd flattie. All my jigs are hand tied by myself never use rubber tails :p
 
your right grange primary n yes i have done the popper thing but using a flyrod but prefer to chase flatties trying to beat my best of 69cm

69cm for a Flattie is about the norm here.... Saw some pics last week of a 104cm that was released just after catching... :Y:

i have seen some flatties here probably close to a metre n have been busted up by some big ones .People here dont seem to specifically target them except for me n finding some good areas to find them so just keep trying
