Nice hunt, well done, a double florrie day always puts a smile on my face. :Y:

First coin was the florin and the last of the day was the other one.

The Australian Treasure program worked a treat here. Tried the silver program but it wasn't holding very well at this spot.

It's not a bad discrim pattern that one, really focuses in on the 12 ferrous line to get rid of annoying junk signals and still should pick up any gold rings too. :Y:

We went to the Dawn service this morning and since we were up early we had a 4 hour swing at a few new places. It was a slow grind with the last park paying out pretty well.

$89 total. The CTX outdid my 705 by $10. It has been outdoing me quite a bit lately.... It's expected but I still don't like it :p

Went back to an old oval in the hills where I stopped last week for a quick test. Found a florin and few old coins so was keen to get back. The soil is mineralised to the point where the garrett pin pointer is useless, however the CTX still coped fine.

Still have a section to grid over so will head back.

Another double florin day....plus a rams and three pence, 5 pennies, spendables, a tiny ACF subscription token from 1940, half a buckle and the obligatory 1/2 cents.

A florin hunt is always a happy hunt, well done. Also cleaning out all those BB's is a bit of fun, even if they are not the most sought after coins. :)

Thanks for the comments lads.

No such luck today, eventhou I hit two spots which I thought would have been great for older coins.

Nothing worth posting apart from this gigantic silver Vikings ring I found today. Almost as ugly as the ring from the other night. Why can't I find nice rings like you guys?

Picture does not it justice, its heavy and chunky.

Been lucky to be working on the road atm and can squeeze in loads of swing time during the day from anywhere really. Long as my laptop gets reception, I have just been heading out to sites of interest and exploring future ones to detect.
