New Detectorist finds - 2018

I had another crack at the beach today. Some goldies and a nice 925 ring. Checked the hallmark and found it online too. My first "Real" ring. Happy as. The 300i is going great. I had a mate with me using his Nox 800 too, crazy how deep those things ping, he found a bottle top in the sand about 18 inches down.

I did an hr in between rain showers at a High School bus stop this arv. Some more goldies. A lot of junk around the coins though, turned the sensitivity down and went slow. Seemed to work better.

Went back to the bus stop again. I still reckon there is more amongst the trash.

Had a mate ring saying he was heading to a local swimming hole for a look, had to have a quick swing. Another ring and a few bucks. The dollars are adding up

Thanks Lads, just need to get onto some older turf for some pre decs (Already got 1s and 2s but they dont count lol) and my first gold jewelry.

I had a bloke rock up this morning and I thought "Here we go, old mate is gonna tell me off here" but it was another detectorist stopping for a chat. Got his number and he showed me some pics of a recent hunt in a padock used at one of the local market's for parking. $296 worth of coins!!! 7 x $2 in the one hole hahaha. Hopefully ill be able to have a hunt with him.

Had a decent crack at the beach yesterday and got myself a decent ring and my first Threepence also got a 1/2 new penny (I had no idea what it was). I am starting to really get the hang of it and the 300i is an absolute beast.

Very nice ring that one, should clean up nicely with a drop of metal polish.

That would be ok on gold/titanium?

I just use one called metal magic, I mainly just use it on 9k gold as it can tarnish a bit, it does add a nice shine to it.

Congrats on the ring, pulled a decent amount of coinage from that hunt.

Nice white gold ring , good totals on the coins with a couple of predecs . Perfect detecting session :Y:
