Hi fellow prospectors I have developed a very high grade Mortar and Pestle made from Ductile Iron SG (Spheroidal Graphite Cast Iron)
has far more strength than Cast Iron , I have brought a number over the years , I found them not good enough for breaking up quartz
they all recommend using the pestle by hand which is not good enough , there also if you can find one made from rough Cast iron , which also reduces
the quality and time to finely crush your samples to fine sand, this one I designed having 45 years experience as a Fitter turner Toolmaker , new materials
like SG Iron have great users this is one of them , I have got these machined inside and outside , to a quality finish then blacked to help them from rusting
they have a 100mm opening there 150mm high and the Pestle is 250mm long, have a look at our Utube clip on this item.
