Hi i have been looking at the garrett ACE 400i and was wondering if it would be ok for gold detecting and if they are any good for a beginner?
Or are there anything else i should have a look at i have a budget upto about $700-$800
Thanks again

400i would be no good for gold, they are a coin and relic detector.
You may be able to get a second hand GM1000 for you price range or alternative xterra 705.
I don't know about the whites but they have been recommended so should be OK.
Are you looking at only gold or also coins and relics?
