Picking up the little ones with a 12” EVO is a good operator

Thanks for showing

I learnt a lot today about running a quiet machine. I generally run a little bit noisy. Not anymore . Changed settings a bit on every target and hotter settings really didn’t make any difference. Be running a bit quieter from now on just to pick up them really faint ones. Deeper ground I may run a bit hotter though.?

Been doing same with my GPZ7000 thanks to a mate showing me his settings, must add that I am running twin speakers with B&Z Booster too. Think running noisy is old school detecting.

Agreed ML,
Even big deep gold can only just break threshold sometimes.
That little murmur some may miss due to running on the verge of noisy could very well be a 700mm deep 1oz+ piece. You just never know.

Now, 2g is the next milestone.

Thanks mate, it was a spot Teemore and I went to before and old hand took me out on Monday and helped me with the set up. Ran it quiet and stable. Very happy.

So I went back to the new spot today for a few hours and picked up these 2 bits. The largest (both uncleaned but it want change much) weighed in at 0.57 thumbsup. Hoping it stays above 0.5 it's been around 2 years since I last picked up anything of this weight. The second and smallest weighed in at 0.07. When I heard the larger piece drop into the scoop I thought dam it was near by slinging lead in my direction lol thumbsup nah wouldn't happen he's too nice a fella. Had a great day even though the pickings were light on. 1518783545_img_20180216_230415.jpg
