Mapping Training in Vic

HI All , i'm looking for omeone to show me the ropes on how to compile a "gold Map" from various sources of info.

I've been struggling with where to start mainly but also what software to use etc, were to get certain bits of data...

Hi Eski. You should be able to teach yourself. Start with:

• VicMap topographic data (https://www.data.vic.gov.au/data/dataset/vicmap-transport-tracks)[/*]
• QGIS application for making maps (https://www.qgis.org/en/site/about/index.html)[/*]
• Scan/photograph/transcribe/draw additional layers as required[/*]
• Export to Georeferenced PDF[/*]
• Use Avenza Maps app to display/mark up on your phone/tablet (https://www.avenza.com/avenza-maps/)[/*]

There are instructional videos on Youtube for using Qgis.....
