If it's screaming everywhere then do a factory reset and see how that pans out....It's a good detector and it's working so it wouldn't
be anything too hard to fix.....

Grab some crc elecrical contact cleaner and give all the switchs and dials a good spray to make sure they will all operate correctly.
By the way what model is the detector ?
