Gold Nugget for sale

Hi Folks,

I have decided to sell a couple of gold nuggets to give me the funds to purchase an SDC. At this stage, I will put up one piece on this site and see if there is any interest. The nugget was found in south east NSW earlier this year. Size and weight are shown in the photos. Although my family thinks that Im crazy to sell such an attractive piece, having my wife or one of my daughters detecting with me is worth far more than a lump of gold. I am not sure of the value of the nugget and would appreciate any advice by members. If anyone is interested, PM me and we can talk.


My daughter took this photo and said that in her eyes it looks like a women holding a baby. When she showed the photo to her hubby, he insisted that it was two women having sex. (Proves to me that we are all hardwired differently)

Put it ebay mate with $2000 on it, thats a great nugget and almost guarantee someone will pay that much for it.

I see the woman holding a baby in the first photo. I definitely don't see 2 women having sex though. I think maybe he is just hardwired different.

Very close to $1,200 gold value, but a collector could go for between $1.5k and $2k depending on the day.
I've seen some nice nuggets on ebay recently around 18+g with starting bids of $1,300 have no bids even after re-listing several times.
So, I'd start at $1500 with yours, and if bidders think that it's an interesting piece (which it certainly is), then bidding may take off.
