G'day all. Finally received first detector today and keen to fire it up for a bit of practice. Wondering if anyone knows of areas close to Darwin to have a scratch around for a trial run. Will be heading over to the gulf in a few days and would be good to practice before I go.

Bought a GPX4500 and also added a 14" mono. Keen to give things a go but realise there's a lot to learn.
