Well Saturday turned up a beautiful day and not being able to make a decision as to where I wanted to go I asked Kiara where she wanted to go, so she picked the beach and so off we went.
You know I love my time with her even though she can moan sometimes...lol I made sure to involve her more and so she was doing the scooping with my big beach scoop and she was happy for all of the two hours we were there.
I was happy to get a few Goldies and as a treat we stopped in McDonalds to get a cone and flake...mmmmmm
I also found a little car which was a keeper for sure until I saw a little toddler around 2 or 3 with his Mum and I said would he like to have this and the Mum said yes thank you. smile
Finds for the day dig....

With the Festival down by the pier I thought I may as well try my luck late Saturday night.....
People everywhere and some coins to keep me interested...I also found a small Organite Pendant which is cool and with it a Amber Fossil of a bug woop woop, two keys which look like they could belong to a jewellery box.
I met a young fella by the name of Aaron who was detecting my favourite side of the pier, he had an X-Terra 705 as well with the 15" 7.5khz....A bit noisy in wet sand but otherwise a good coil....He was visiting from Baronia and we parted ways wishing each other good luck...
It was a good night and very enjoyable...Found another Rosie Dime....Gotta be tourists in town. smile

Found two $3 coin spills....Moolah - Cha ching..

Organite Pendant and Amber Fossil smile

Until next time all the best to everyone and hope you all have an enjoyable, rewarding dig.

Cheers GDA - Arthur thumbsup smile

Yes mate it was a very good day made even better by having Kiara interested again, but her first love is gold panning....She's just like Dad in a lot of ways, when my wife and I would pick her up from school my wife would say, my god she walks just like you, a real tom boy but also a princess....haha smile thumbsup

So I decide to go for a dig late last night.
I get to the beach where I found the Ring and Silver Bracelet and while walking down to the surf I hit on a $2 coin right away.....
For the next 10-15 mins I get nothing and then noticed someone walking towards me then standing still just watching me and as I got closer he says gidday, I replied gidday mate how ya going.
He looks at me and says Golddiggerart? Me looking a little shocked said yup that's me mate.
His name was Ray and he said when he saw the headlight walking up and down the beach he figured it must be a detectorist.
He and a mate had worked the beach for a few hours and got a few coins and so my night was looking pretty grim considering I knew how packed it was with the hot weather.
Oh and btw he knew me from my Youtube Channel...lol
Anyway we chatted for a while and then parted ways and I went off to a trusty spot that saved my night.
It was fun and I have a plan for the weekend which I hope is not shattered by too much rain, doesn't matter anyway I have a waterproof coil and a rain cover.

1508284884_farmer_ray.jpg

All the best and happy digging to everyone.

Cheers GDA - Arthur thumbsup smile

Most coins don't look too old which makes digging a bit easier most times glasses

Good effort party

Yes all fresh drops... smile

Well tonight I got restless so heading down to the beach and hit on a spot I thought would be good considering the last three days being 28 - 30 - 30 but how wrong I was.....Nothing but trash even with the beach cleaner going over it on Monday....
I noticed a figure getting closer to me every time I turned around to do another line with the detector....There were also 2 blokes a woman and 2 dogs further along.
The guy finally decided to get close and I hear a voice say, mate do you have a spare ciggy, he knew I had some because I lit one when I got down there and I turned around and said yeah man here ya go, the dude was standing there with his clothes rolled up under his arms and he was stark naked and I thought to myself you know what if he wants to run around nude good on him.
I gave him a smoke and he went on his way down the track, more than likely back to his car before the other three with the dogs came back.
I left that spot and went to another section of beach which gave up a ring on my first signal, Pandora 925 Ale 60.....A few coins which I am happy with and even though they are only crumbs I'll take em especially since I have never gotten more than $12 from this beach on a good week.

Nice hunt mate, the ring looks quite nice too. Would have been funny if the dogs had decided to chase the naked bloke away. big_smile

So today being Saturday I thought I'd get out for an early dig on the beach.....I left home around 5 am and got to the beach around 5:10 am then started digging around 5:30 am after I had noticed the beach cleaner had done a second day....The BUGGER I thought to myself, I had planned this day out and it looked like it was going to turn to shite......
I deliberately left the beach even after the hottest day because the cleaner always does a Monday.....
Anyway my best spot was clean and I only managed a $2 coin sad What was I to do but use my experience to get something decent for my time.
Well I hit where the Dry and Wet sand meet and picked up a few coins, 20c $1 and $2....It was looking very bleak and so I went to do the platforms.
There are two and teenagers always sit underneath them and lose there coins....Platform one was good to me with a $6.70 coin spill.....Platform 2 had a $4 coin spill....The dunes were also good to me.
I new I'd have to walk miles to get a haul so I called it a day after around 1 and a half hours.
Was going to do plan B but with the weather turning sour I decided to come home as there is always another day. smile

1508535805_22688566_10210632076666862_8389008810161982504_n.jpg

Until next time happy digging everyone.

Cheers GDA - Arthur smile thumbsup
