AA Rechargeable Batteries x 8

I want to buy another 8 x AA rechargeable batteries for a machine.

Any ideas on cost and location for a good EOFY special or ?

I currently use the Accupower 2900 mah AA's from site sponsor Phasetech in my detectors, also using his 9v batteries for my pinpointers - had a good run out of all of them so far.

You pay for quality when talking batteries, I have Eneloops AA , Accupower 9V, and Aldi brand AA's

Eneloop AA - GREAT Solid batteries with solid reputation, I need to buy some more, but my pocket
isnt that deep at this time

AccuPower 9V - all good and reasonable price (from PhaseTech)

ALDI AA - cheap but I find they do not hold their charge that well when not in use, 2400mah, you need a good charger but
they are cheap for a reason. Dont last as well as I would expect in ACE 250, so I do a lot of recharging
with them before going detecting if they have been sitting for a week or so. and had one fail on second charge!

If it is for a quality detector, and you need a good shelf time, get a quality AA battery.

I replaced the crappy 600 mAh Metal Nickle Hydride batteries that came with a pair of Uniden UHF CB's with these 2600 mAh Varta's from Bunnings.

Very happy with them - they hold their charge very well and I get plenty of use between charges.

At the price, they could be worth a look.

have a look at the Kogan site , i just bought 2 x 4 packs of 4000mha c type rechargeable batteries for $15 a pack, marked down from $39 a 4 pack, we shall see how they perform in the SDC
