Those pickers sure are pretty. Nothing against the coil singers but those pans full of golden goodness are hard to beat. Glad to see you kicking along on your passion for golding mate, I'm loving following your thread.

The good gear had formed a little lead but there was still a little just under that grey material
on the right..

Kept chasing it up..

As far as I went, a wire brush works great, can sweep up clean with the paint brush..

About the same or bit less than last lot, this ground came from about 100m up the gully above the race, hardly any
black sand, last lot I was getting about 1/4 teaspoon of black sand per sand scoop of cons..

Maybe thats the top point of where its shedding in off one side or the other into the gully, maybe there is not much more further up the gully at all, if that turned out to be the case then it would be time to loam up the sides to work out from whence it were shedding ,... certainly looks nice mate !

your very close mate...off to each side of the gully at this elevation is as high as the old timers worked
it. below this there is a couple of meters of material missing off the surface leaving a couple of meters
on top of bedrock where it flattens out. The bedrock up top is very mottled, the foliation is multi directional
containing thin quartz veins and has a bubbled look to it. I believe these are all the indicators of a fault
zone, sorta what the front of 2 cars look like after a head on...just a bit of pressure lol

Thats a fair clean up for 3 buckets mate. Nice work.

Are u just panning off the cons ? Or tossing it down a clean up sluice ?

cheers..yeah mate just panning cons, and getting sick of it lol

this morning I thought I would do some elimination work on some bedrock on higher ground
that the old timers left and didn't tear apart. I got 2 colours from 10 litres which is more than
expected. I did it because I wanted to do what they did, actualy see what it looked like..
