I have a coin with a mint error that I want to send away for authentication and grading.
To fill out the required paperwork I need to include the value of the coin for insurance purposes.
Can I get some help from a numismatist on P.A. on how I find out the value?
As you can see I'm a novice.
Cheers.

Put up a really good close-up front and back photo of the coin Sammy and that'll help draw attention to your plight. :Y:

I'm not on Facebook.
I have had trouble uploading the photos I have taken.
The coin is a 1951 Penny with a doubled date error.
At this point that is all I can offer.
Cheers.

1951 Penny: 45.5 Million minted, 12,888 'Proof' coins minted, 18,000 (designated PL) minted in England

First would be to identify if it is an Oz or UK struck coin, then the 'error' value (based on %'s)...

Current value for the 'regular' lowest grade is between $0.75 & $1.00.....who's to say what could happen at Auction?.... :Y:

Here's a screenshot of an errors page

might give you a bit of an idea as to what you might get ,... there is a 1951 half penny date error penny with no image I can find attached.
