I did a quick clean of the local Dec coins Kato and I find, mainly just to remove the crud so they present better.
Forgot to take a 'before' and 'after' pic which was a bit silly, but I guess you will see and get the idea anyway.
When cleaned, it wont restore the Nickel onto the corroded coins etc, but they are much more presentable for spending,
the brass is cleaned bright and the Nickel is shiny.
The 'flash' makes them appear cleaner than they are in the first pic
These Tumblers are used for jewelery also.
Dirty coins into Tumbler with pins
Squirt of Dish wash into Tumbler
Fill with warm water to just below the top
Close lid tight and check seal
Tumble for an hour or so.
