Silver at last

Almost did not make it out today because of prior commitments,but snuck out this afternoon for a quick swing.
Got out to the field and the first storms in months rolled in,lightning,thunder and rain stopped me for around half an hour.
But once it cleared, a few coins presented themselves for inspection.
Also found a 3 x 2c coins spill,not shown.

Had a nice quiet hunt today,just me, the trains and the BB's
And a silver to keep it interesting.



Bit of excitement when this popped out,but just a junker brooch.

HaHaha, lucky my wife has green eye's so I am somewhat immune from the green eyed stare of this monstrous bird.

Yep only someone who was posessed would wear such a thing, needs to be burnt and buried immediately.

I'm heading down to NSW next week,I might bring it with me and bury it on a random beach or park.
Then someone else can get the enjoyment of finding it. Maybe we can start a treasure hunt and see how many times it can be refound ]

Might be useful as a good luck charm, pity it wasn't solid silver with a nice Columbian emerald set in it.

If your going to put it back in the ground , I reckon manly beach high up on the sand would be the go ktmann ]

Been a while between hunts,my 705 started playing up so had to send it away for a new keyboard.
All fixed now and this is the result of yesterday and today's hunts.

I think the square thing is a buckle,feels heavy like lead and has no makers mark on it.
Pennies are 1891,1912 1943,1952 and 1943 half.

After a slow start with the 3p and moving to the old sports ground I found 3 6d in a 2 meter area. Just shows you never find them all,I wish they would mow the grass though as it is getting pretty high after all the rain.
Will post a pic of the silvers after they are cleaned.

Nice going ktmman! Looks like the mower has done its bit in the area the pre dec collecrion must be building up by now!

Glad the 705 was fixed under warranty, as I hear those keypads are pretty pricey to replace. The couple of older .925 silvers amongst that lot made the trip worthwhile, nice one.
