Clegy, This machine will hit the UK version of a 5c coin at about 11 to 13 inches,

Here is a short Review,

John

You're a Good egg John Thanks Mate,

As I am new to the machine I wanted to get some figures out there that could be achieved by new users to the machine. That covers everyone in Australia.

Appreciate that Mate, as I learn to fine tune the CS4PI better I have no doubt I can get even further down with it.

My Biggest Handicap is my Deus swing speed needed slowing a lot and I am finding that every 10 steps I have to stop and slow that swing down.

Again Thanks Mate

Clegy

Your welcome mate,

C-Scope use to sell the Whites Two Box Locator (TM-808) but with C-Scope's Name on it about 4 or 5 years ago,

I wish my PI's had 30 to 40 hours run time out of 8 AA's,, My SL can eat them in under 4 hours, and apart from having a GB and the conductivity etc this little C-Scope is a sure fire winner,, And it is a switch on and go machine, No major setting to worry about,, And it is one of Eric Fosters Designs so it comes from a long line of PI machines.

Good Luck mate.

John.

G'day Clegy

Are there any coil options for this machine?

Daggy

Sorry Big Fella, slipped under my Radar this one.

No coil options, Its all fixed. Designed to be very easy to use and cost effective beach machine.

Nothing complicated about it mate.

Cheers.

G'day Wetsanders!

They are Back in stock after a small gap due to them seling a little better than I predicted. OOPS.

Personally I like using the CS4PI as when I hit the beach I feel confident knowing I'm not missing much if I put my coil over it. Its a confidence thing and instead of having the mindset of the VLF user on the wet sand "Why won't this thing shut up!" I have the PI mindset, "Just need to put my coil over it".

Going into the field with Confidence in yourself, your spot and most importantly your gear, makes hunting so much more enjoyable.

Hit the sand with a Metal detector designed to do one thing only and do it very well..........

CRUSH IT on the beach.

Happy Hunting

I like how you can turn this machine and not have to worry about having the right settings and it is cheap enough to get one for the whole family.

How Is the Depth testing going Clegy, as in real time Beach performance ?

John.

Hey John,

Hopefully not too many people will see this, but I am using the CS4 more than my Deus as it is just so much fun and it takes ALL of the complexity out of detecting like you said. (Well up until last week when I updated the Deus).

Instead of trying to guess what a TDI means, or changing frequencies or speed or something else, you just get out your scoop and dig a hole. If it beeps Dig it out is the simple process used. No discrim, no readouts, No fuss. Just swing and dig.

Depth is frightening on big targets, Been to my shoulder on an anchor and a can will get you down 15 inches sometimes! You learn to size targets very quickly and use techniques other than electronic trickery to make your digging decisions. If its not after about 10 scoops with the sand scoop then it is usually a beastly target down deep.

Here in Yeppoon I am confident I will not miss anything in the top ten inches down to bobby pin size.

Digging way more trash, but also digging a lot more crusty treasure and the Junk jewellery pile is looking impressive with a keeper or 2 amongst it.

To be honest we don't get the concentrations of people on our beaches up here. They are long and widfe and people spread themselves out over Kilometres of sand. No Rips, Not much in the way of waves either.

I can't wait to unleash this thing on Newcastle beach in NSW, I think that will be a busy evening.

Clegy

P.S I never even get the Deus out of the van at the beach anymore, wet or dry I use the CS4 100% when on the sand unless it is mega trashy.
