EMI in towns

Been testing out the F1A4 in the back yard but its noisy as all get out, and seems to be less sensitive than it should. Is this likely due to EMI from WIFI and other stuff like that?

DO most of the detectors go nuts in residential areas due to this noise?

All PI detectors are pretty useless anywhere near houses and powerlines mate, so noisy is normal until you get out on the field ( in a spot with little trash ). Some can cancell out EMI as well, though im not sure on your F1A4

Yeah, when i pressed the "Noise Cancel" button it basically turned the whole thing off!
