Found these 3 while detecting for gold. Apart from the button anyone know what the other two things are?

Am guessing one is a buckle plate with the belt loops snapped off, and the item in the left is a hinged catch from something??

The plate is a saddle plate. Some actually had the saddle makers name on them but they are pretty rare. The points on the back were actually curved hooks that fit into the leather. The other bit looks like part of a clasp off a book or similar.
