Liz will always be an Opal fanatic since she found her very first Opals.

My favourite would have to be the humble Agate.

Feather Agate from Lune River, Tasmania.

Cheers, Wal :)

Beautiful collection of stones Wal!

Nice bit of black seam top left! Is the other stone grey seam or crystal? Little hard to tell via a photograph (they never do opal justice). What a couple of beauties for a collection though! :D

Wonderful flame Agate at the bottom too! Never seen one like that before. I've always felt they are a very underestimated stone.

Kindest regards,
Shauno.

different people are drawn to certain kinds of stones . some people link star signs to them but the individual can choose whatever they damn well want to i reckon ;)

I have a couple of hundred different specimens and sometimes i will put one under my pillow or go to sleep with it in my hand on the odd occasion

some stones are associated with improved dreams , while others might cure a headache

put a decent bit of amethyst near your head and it might keep you awake all night

if you have angry people around or conflicts with an ex partner , wear some black tourmaline or put it under your spine when you sleep to 'ward of negativity'

want to improve relationships ? then rose quartz is the one . i have a 3 kilogram lump but i didnt find a bit of string yet to wear it around my neck . lol ;)

Of all the types of stones out there , there seems to be a general belief that if you put them out under a full moon for the night they appear to have more vibrancy to them when you hold them in your hand

i had a headache for a few days from being exposed to some toxic welding fumes years ago , aspirin or panadol did nothing to get rid of it , i went to sleep with a nice bright flourite under my head and the headache was gone the next morning , but the flourite had faded from its bright green and purple to about half its depth of colour , and the colour never returned to it
who wants to try and explain that one to me ?

:D

Grey seam mate, Liz just loves getting away from cold Canberra in the winter, and she has a real passion for boulder as it's a great stone for wire wrapping.

Cheers Wal.

Hi Wal ,what are the 3rd & 4th photos ? , Are they slabs with Boulder Opal through it , or something that Liz has made ?

The third is a slab of boulder opal 80mm x 40mm and the 4th is smaller slabs of boulder opal ready for liz to make wire wrap pendants.

Cheers Wal.
