creswick has water all year round if you know where it is, problem is keeping it secret :)

I'm good at secrets, I know where there is plenty of water, however sadly creswick creek is on the no go list, that's including the one that goes right thru town I know a good little spot to get dirt near the lawn bowl centre at the concrete thingies they catch heaps of gold

Only real place is slatey just near the bridge before it turns into creswick creek or I know of a few others haven't been out there for about a months or so

I'll be doing some detecting out there next week

Havent prospected creswick creek to be honest. Theres alot of gold closer to monte cristo reef. Well go for a drive one day and ill show you a few spots.

Keen as GD look forward to it, can't say I've ever heard of monte christo I'll have to research it, shame I never got into prospecting younger. Was that your son in the earlier picture?

It's good your teaching him young :)

I have a trommel that runs off a 12v motor made from a 60l drum that might work if you can post some photos of material you need to wash the size of the rocks and a general location i may be able to help. if you are more inclined for a DIY option here is a link for plans to make a hand powered trommel from 20L buckets and pvc pipe and fittings. mlaine.homeip.net/Trom/

Another idea from the Tathradj think Tank.
.
Any One think of using rotary spray bars as in like a dish washer. ???
.
Had a brain flash moment today while installing a TV antenna for a mate.
There was an old dish washer sitting there.
.
And while I am typing here I am watching SHMBO loading the dish washer.
.
Hmmmm.
.
Maybe my bald patch is going to get worse.
.
Probably come from the Tasmanian Beer that I am drinking ATM.
.
Just got the shakes thinking about it.
.
I can see how to build them.
.
Slightly off balance to shake the banker as well.
.
Stuff, I am not going to sleep tonight.
.
F@@K.
.
I can imagine the look on a few peoples face's now.
.
Doug, What are you doing. ????
.
Just washing the dish's mate.
.
Actually there is a lot of merit in this.
.
A bloody lot.
.
Brain Fart in motion now.... 8)

bit like a cement mixer with spray bars but inverted...

No,
Just like the spray bars in a dish washer.
.
Mate, I am freaking.
.
It just hit me on what can be done here.
.
I am serious.
.
The amount of force generated and the speed that these things can turn at running 30 to 40 psi.
.
Fluid under centrifugal force. at around 600 revs a minute.
.
2 quad bars 14 inches across running in a banker would be unreal.
.
Taking into account the amount of water sufficient going through the Banker.
.
If each bar was 3/4 inch id, you could run 2 on a 1 1/2 pump.
.
Leave it with me and any input would be welcome.

I can hardly wait to see the look on Wal's face when I fire up a dual rotary WalBanker.
.
If it works, Priceless. 8)
.
A bit of research on Google states they are called rotary scrubbers.
.
I am going to run with it.
