Went for a play yesterday afternoon with my metal detector (still trying to figure out how to use it to be honest lol) at my local park and was surprised to actually find something worth bringing home compared to the usual bottle caps, ring pulls and aluminum foil.

I think it's part of an old clothes iron from the 1930's??? But I could be wrong. I know it has no $$$$ value but I was just stoked to stumble across it considering the location.

If anyone can confirm if it is actually an old iron I'd really appreciate it :)

Yep it sure is an old flat iron with the handle missing of course. That is all that we had to do the ironing when I was a kid, whack them on the top of the old wood stove, give then a wipe on a cloth containing a big lump of bee's wax then quickly iron away.

I dug two of these up at Hill End last Saturday........they wouldn't fit in my junk pocket so i leftem there. :8
