Here's a great resource for those looking into metal detecting either with or without a VLF metal detector. Many of the references are towards VLF technology but a lot of the concepts are the same when using a PI machine.
The document leans heavily towards the Fisher / Teknetics range of detectors, but that's understandable considering the author is the chief designer for First Texas Products & Fisher Research Labs.
I believe its just a 28 page teaser for the full book, might be worth buying the full version if that's the case
