I carry a wire clamp tool (ClampTite) to make hose clamps (and many other things/repairs).
Better than your standard worm-drive clamp (if you have room to fit it). Takes up little room in my tool-kit.

Am thinking of making one (much larger) for fencing wire (probably using a large SS turnbuckle wire tensioner - for major repairs), and am wondering if anyone here has done this.

nice list PRLake, the reason I had hadn't commented, coz a good list can get a bit long winded.
The List depends upon;
detecting/camping
general camping
fishing/camping
hunting/camping
long trek over 1000km
holidaying any distance
horse eventing /with or without camping
day trip thru' the hills & bush
I have the basics in a tub that stays in, but most other is a variable.
